The Methuen City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Great Hall of the Searles Building. The following is the City Council Agenda.

The Methuen City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Hall, Searles Building, 41 Pleasant Street, Methuen, MA.

AGENDA:

                Property Tax Classification Public Hearing to consider the following policy decisions:

1.        A residential exemption of up to 20% of the average assessed valuation of residential property.

2.        An exemption of up to 25 % for all property that may be classified as Class II – Open Space

3.        A determination of the percentage of the Tax Levy to be borne by each class of property in Fiscal Year 2011

Interested taxpayers are encouraged to present oral information on their views at the Public Hearing. Written information may be submitted to the Office of the Methuen City Council, City Hall, 41 Pleasant Street, Room 310 on or before December 20, 2010 at 4:30 p.m.
