Water Main Flush Program: The Methuen DPW will implement the state-mandated Water Main Flush Program beginning Monday, May 12, 2008 on the west side of Methuen. The program runs Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm with some nights and weekends. Discolored water may be experienced briefly. Prior to washing any clothing, please check your water. Veterans Volunteers Needed: In preparation for Memorial Day, all deceased Methuen Veterans receive flags at their final resting places. We invite you to participate in this commemoration of our Veterans' service and assist in the placement of flags upon the graves of our heroes. Veterans Tax Rebate Information: Even though April 15 has passed, there is still time for Veterans to submit a 2007 form for an economic stimulus payment. In order to receive the payment, a 2007 tax return has to be on file showing earned income exceeding $3000. Red Sox Game Trip: The Recreation Dept. is sponsoring a Red Sox Trip, Friday, June 6, 2008 vs. Seattle. A limited number of tickets will be available at the Recreation Office, 41 Pleasant St., Room 313 beginning April 17, 2008. Tickets are $35.00 per person and are being sold on a first come, first served basis. Cost includes round trip bus transportation. Buses leave the Pelham St. Park and Ride at 5:15pm on June 6. Due to the expected high demand, a maximum of 4 tickets per person may be purchased. Information: Recreation Dept., 978-983-8590. |
